"Flayed"

Wow! This is a very moving image. The concept as to the "why" her eyes are closed is very well executed. Having tried to do skin flap openings myself, I know how challenging pulling the idea off is. The artist has accomplished it nicely. Finally, the added textures add the finishing touches. BRAVA!

"Forest Spirit"


This is a lovely expression of the Forest Spirit. The many elements included are not only well blended by they make her seem really a part of the flora and fauna of the forest. The color palette lends itself to a sense of the Autumnal season. I particularly like the addition of a spider and web to add jewelry of a sort. Great work!

"Eyes Closed"


The artist has created an excellent sense of longing, loss and the feeling that her life as she knew it, is over. The monochromatic palette further adds to the image. I can see that there is a generous use of elements added to this piece that are so well fit in-it makes the image almost seem like a snapshot-not a photomanip. Very nicely done!

"Torture"


This is an arresting image of the consequences of war. I enjoyed seeing a male model utilized. The fires and color scheme contribute nicely to the over all feeling of the tortured soldier contemplating his war torn surroundings and praying for piece. Very poignant work. Good job!
